What Should Never Be Done When Fueling?

When fueling a commercial vehicle like a truck, tanker, or other equipment, you can stay safe by setting your vehicle in park, setting the parking brake, and turning off your engine. Lock the doors when you leave the truck. During pumping:

●      Don’t smoke or light matches or lighters

●      Remain at the pump while fueling

●      Don’t get distracted; focus on your task and surroundings

●      Avoid inhaling vapors

●      Discharge static buildup before holding the nozzle

●      Report spills

After pumping, close the fuel tank cap tightly. Properly return the nozzle and move the hose out of the way of traffic and pedestrians. Ensure you aren’t leaving behind your keys, phone, wallet, or anything else.

What Are the Effects of Over-Fueling?

When you over-fuel a commercial truck or vehicle, it causes excess pressure in the crankshaft and eventually leads to leaks. Over-fueling your tank can also cover the vapor intake hole with liquid gas, which is then sucked into the charcoal canister. This can damage the entire system and cost hundreds of dollars to repair. The excess fuel can also spill out through the overflow valves and waste fuel and cause problems for other drivers.

Why Is Fueling Performance Important?

Fueling performance or fuel efficiency is crucial because it saves money, lessens the negative impact of trucking on the environment, and ensures you remain compliant with local and federal regulations.

What a Generator Fuel System Is and How to Fuel a Generator

A generator fuel system is another way of supplying and maintaining power at a facility during an outage. Generator systems can maintain safety, security, and productivity. Businesses and commercial facilities across industries can benefit from installing a generator fuel system to protect and power their facilities during an outage. Generators have two types of fuel storage tanks: above-ground and underground. They can run on natural gas, heating oil, or propane. You fuel a generator by using a suction pipe to transfer fuel from a storage tank to the generator. We also offer fuel delivery services and onsite fueling services for generators.
